When I watch the NBA, I watch for star players and I’m deeply disappointed that Lebron won’t face Kobe in the Finals. Disappointed enough that I can’t imagine myself watching. Maybe a potential Game 7. Maybe.

I like celebrity athletes and coaches. Not who they are, but the drama, storylines and intrigue they create.

T.O., Manny, Pacman, Clemens, I think they’re all creeps, but at least they’re interesting which is more than I can say for Albert Pujols.

Since I watch sports on T.V., sports to me is a T.V. show. When the characters, drama and storylines compel me, I watch, when they don’t, I don’t. I find a better T.V. show.

When my team loses, screw ‘em. You want to endlessly support a loser and be taken advantage of and have your time and money wasted, but my guest.

Once you’ve had great tickets or sat in a box, like I have, you can’t sit in the stands anymore. Unless my seats are unbelievable, there’s no way you’re getting me to a game, and when I go to a game I want T.V.’s everywhere (with some showing something other than the game). Good food, good drinks and a good atmosphere are essential. Hot dogs, cheap beer, dopey guys – no thanks.

Fantasy sports, “Madden,” message boards? I’m a grown up, not living in a suspended adolescence. I have a career and responsibilities.
